How do I fill out my application with the system?
Most of our application is like any other. There’s some information we want about your character- preferably in full sentences. Like any other game out there, knowing about how your character is, and what they do, like, fear, etc, makes them like a real person and not just a doll you’ve taken out to play with.So… what do I do about Stats, and why are they first?
Stats are really our way of putting a skeleton to your character. They define, in general, what they are good at and what they are bad at. Stats have a rating of -2 to +3. At creation you can’t go below a -1 to a stat. This leaves room for growth of the character- in sailor moon it was not uncommon for a character to struggle and get hurt before they got to a godly status.- -2 in a stat is very bad. It makes it very difficult to ever get a 10 on a roll, which often means you will mostly getting partial successes and misses. It thus is arguable that a -2 in a stat is very bad! And why at creation, no one has a -2. We want you to be successful and have fun!
- -1 is bad. At best you’re going to get an 11 on your rolls.
- 0 is average. It means you’re no better, or worse than an average person- great!
- +1 is good. Your character is fairly good at doing this stat.
- +2 is really good Your character is really good at doing this area of things.
- +3 Is Phenomenal. Your probably one of the best at this in the world- not just your home city.
What are the five stats?
The five stats define your character. Are they incredibly smart? They probably have a high Sharp. If your character is very charming and charismatic, they probably have a high Charm. And those should be reflected in your application. Stats are, after all, the bones- they are your choice, but at the same time they should match what your gaming!- CHARM // This stat defines how good you are in social situations.
CHARM EXAMPLES: Usagi Tsukino ( MOON ), Minako Aino ( VENUS ) - COOL // This stat defines how good you are in tense situations and keep your cool.
COOL EXAMPLES: Setsuna Meioh ( PLUTO ), Michiru Kaioh ( NEPTUNE ) - SHARP // This stat defines how good you are in mental situations, including tactics and strategy.
SHARP EXAMPLE: Ami Mizuno ( MERCURY ) - TOUGH // This stat defines how good you are in physical situations.
TOUGH EXAMPLES: Makoto Kino ( JUPITER ), Haruka Tenoh ( URANUS ) - WEIRD // This stat defines how adept you are with the mystic powers that be.
WEIRD EXAMPLES: Rei Hino ( MARS ), Hotaru Tomoe ( SATURN )
Obviously some of the example characters above had varying adeptness with other stats; Michiru was well-versed in the weird arcane, Ami had a gift for keeping her cool, and so on and so forth. These are just examples.
How do I figure out my stats?
There are two ways to get your stats. One, is to take a prebuilt stat group below and use it as the beginning of your character. The second is to build your own with all stats starting at 0 and then adding 3 points into whatever stats you want your character to be good at. You can take a -1 in any stat to get an additional point. You can not let any stat go below a -1 or above a +3. THE AVERAGE JOEHe's got a good understanding of reality, he's nice and he can keep pretty calm, but he's pretty average when it comes to his toughness or to his magic.Charm + 1 // Cool + 1 // Sharp + 1 // Tough 0 // Weird 0THE ATHELETEShe's a physical type of person with a good eye for her surroundings. He's got his instincts, his brain and his toughness to get him out of a pinch.Charm -1 // Cool +1 // Sharp + 1 // Tough + 1 // Weird + 1THE POPULAR KIDShe's loved by all the school, and she's probably rich or has some other influence. She's physically capable enough for sports, has a lot of connections, but has no skill with the supernatural whatsoever.Charm + 2 // Cool + 1 // Sharp 0 // Tough +1 // Weird -1THE UNDERDOGSo he's not charming, but he's got a survivor's instinct that thrives off of having to struggle. He started at the bottom, now he's here.Charm + 2 // Cool + 1 // Sharp 0 // Tough + 1 // Weird -1THE BULLYShe's tough, she's charming, she's the bad girl with a flare. She's not stupid, she doesn't fly off the handle, but the arcane is just beyond her.Charm + 2 // Cool 0 // Sharp 0 // Tough + 2 // Weird -1THE SURVIVORHe makes it through the crisis again and again, and no one knows how he does it. He's not not overly smarter, he just keeps his head and has a will of iron.Charm 0 // Cool + 2 // Sharp 0 // Tough +2 // Weird -1THE HERMITShe's only slightly more charming than the loner, and she highly prefers books to people. But she's smart, she's calm, and she's actually got a pretty good gut instinct.Charm - 1 // Cool +1 // Sharp +3 // Tough 0// Weird 0THE TRICKSTERHe doesn't do practical jokes to be cruel, he just wants the world to laugh a little. Magic and physical prowress are for the slow witted- so long as you have your smarts and you keep your head and tongue nimble, you can achieve anything.Charm +2 // Cool + 1 // Sharp + 2 // Tough -1 // Weird -1
Players can of course come up with their own stat blocks or modify these stat blocks to suit their purposes.
EXAMPLES
All characters, even the characters that administrators play as NPCs (save for Sailor Pluto, because Time is a fickle beast) are done in the exact same way as the members. So, here's a few examples of character sheets done by administrators to help you for reference.NEED HELP?
