He uses the shield for defense and protecting himself as well as those around him. POWERS Barrier ( 2 SOAK; Close RANGE; SUB-TYPE Wind; AREA AFFECT, MULTIPLE TARGETS; NO-DAMAGE, WORDS ); Creates a shield between himself or a targeted person and any object or person that is attempting to cause harm. Air Strike Shield ( 3 HARM; Intimate RANGE; SUB-TYPE Wind; DAMAGE EFFECT: Gust, HARD; STATIC, GESTURES, WORDS, ITEM REQUIRED ); Joseph can project a solid shield into the air, causing harm to anything that directly impacts the shield as if they had run into a wall. The Air Strike projects outward from the Knights Shield whenever the Knight calls out "Air Strike" and pushes his shield through the air in front of him. The projection is harmless to the touch, allowing anyone to step on it as if it were a hard surface to travel across. Any malice intent though and the shield will throw off the attacker with a gust of wind, continuously attacking the attacker with the air around them. SPECIAL MOVES Artistic; Joseph has always been gifted with crafting with his hands, and while his father has always tried to steer him towards crafts like wood crafting or forging, Joseph's passion has always been for creating outfits. He's works are always magnificent and immaculate, often surpassing even his own wildest dreams and innovations. The young man often wonders if these wondrously created outfits have some kind of hidden or magical property to them, though he has never dreamed of testing his curiosity. Bodyguard; If something bad is going to happen to your hero, your comrades, or a bystander, and you are right there, you may throw yourself in harm's way. Whatever was going to happen to them happens to you instead. BONUSES Independently Wealthy; Joseph's father owns a business and despite his disapproval of his son's life choices, his wife has convinced him to support his son regardless of the young man's decisions. Though usually if he asks for his father's assistance, Joseph has to do something as repayment so he tries his hardest to never need his father's help. APPEARANCE Joseph is a tall, athletically built young man, roughly six feet in height and long, flowing red hair. He has dark green eyes and tan skin, almost as if he’s spent his life living on a beach. He has a tattoo along the left half of his body and down his left arm as well, a design he saw once while window shopping that greatly appealed to him and worthy of being canvased on his body. He generally wears kimonos when he is at his home as they are the most comfortable garments he finds, but whenever he goes out, he makes sure to have the latest fashionable attire. In fact, Joseph has more clothing in his closet then most women he knows, and you will never see him wearing the same clothing twice in a row. HOBBIES Volleyball, Cloths Shopping, Keeping Up-to-Date with the Latest Fashions. HABITS He always judges people by their appearance first, not whether they are good or bad necessarily but whether they have any sense of fashion. He can almost never stop himself from trying to fix someone that has a bad sense of fashion. Also he keeps a small sewing kit with him in case of emergencies, such as damage to clothing he or others are wearing. He will ALWAYS offer to repair clothes. PERSONALITY Joseph is very kind and giving though he rarely shares anything of himself. He tries to keep his family life a mystery to anyone that gets close to him, though he never hides his passion for fashion. He keeps himself in shape, primarily so that he can continue to appreciate and adorn the latest fashion items. Though many would perceive him as flamboyant and gay, Joseph is simply passionate about fashion and nothing more. HISTORY Joseph has been for the majority of his life, a rich little boy having been too young to remember the time when his father was building up his hardware store. By the time Joseph was old enough to remember, his father had already built several different hardware stores and storage yards across the crystal cities. Joseph found himself going to a private schools and having private tutors for the majority of his life. In fact, the majority of his childhood life was spent with private tutors and his mother as they traveled around the world with Joseph’s father while he built up his ‘empire’. It wasn’t until Joseph was entering into his high school years that they finally settled down in Crystal Angels which is where Joseph’s father decided to build his headquarters. The ‘empire’ of Schneider’s Hardware Toolbox was finally built and running smoothly, giving the Schneider family a steady flow of income and quickly turning them into the millionaires they so badly wanted to be. During these early years when Joseph and his mother were traveling around with his father as he built up his ‘empire’, Joseph rarely ever made any friends having spent most of his time at home schooling. Because of this, he grew up mostly secluded and as a result, grew to be very shy of large groups of people and found it hard to make friends. A few people were of no problem, Joseph would talk up a storm with just a few people or people he knew, but when you got lots of people together, Joseph would turn suddenly quite, almost a complete reversal of how he usually is. He has been working on it for quite some time now, ever since he started in high school and he noticed himself how different he acted in groups. There was however, a different problem that Joseph’s father saw which he wanted to change in his son, but Joseph didn’t care to change it himself. Since Joseph had spent most of his childhood life with his mother or alone by himself, the boy had grown to very much appreciate the way he looked and what he wore. In fact, what he wore also had an effect of how he was around groups, always considering how much different or similar he looked compared to others. Keeping up with the latest fashion senses became almost an obsession for Joseph as he grew older, always reading up on fashion magazines and watching fashion shows. The boy spent a great deal of time with his mother as she also liked to keep up with fashion and in fact gave Joseph the idea of him becoming a fashion designer. The idea become very much ingrained into what Joseph wanted to do with his life, so much so that no matter how much his father tried, he could never get the boy to be in the garage, doing what normal boys would do, or at least what his father considered normal. That would be Joseph’s father’s problem in a nut shell, his son acted more like a women then he ever did as a man. Joseph would constantly spend his time going to the mall with his mother, though was always quite with so many people being around. But the moment he came close to a cloths store, he would practically become giddy with excitement, running in and quickly skimming through the cloths there. Joseph’s father most definitely did not agree with how his son acted and, had he had his way, quickly disowned the boy long before he even reached adult hood. However, as it is in most families, the man is the head, and the woman is the neck, and she can turn the head however she wishes. Joseph’s mother always encouraged Joseph to just pursue whatever it is he liked, while at the same time, persuading his father to simply stand aside and let the boy do what he wished. Of course, Joseph’s father did is wife requested, though he always tried to get Joseph to more pursue his line of work since his plan was to have Joseph take over the chain after him. He has yet to stop trying to this very day. Joseph is now in college, taking mostly classes to become a fashion designer, though some classes he takes are more toward what he considers to be the ‘dirty grunt work’ his father use to do. It was the one condition his father made if he was going to pay for Joseph’s schooling and let him continue to live in his house rent free and still getting food too. With little other choice, as far as Joseph was concerned, he took his father’s deal, and every semester takes at least one class having to do something with the automotive or heavy machinery industry. Business classes worked as well too, which Joseph tried his best to take the most of since he figured they may also help him too. Another thing that Joseph became particularly fond of back in high school and continued on into college was playing sports, the best one being Volleyball. Joseph found that Volleyball was about the only sport he really enjoyed playing and made sure to keep himself in excellent condition to play, and he was good at it too. Somehow, making sure to hit the volley ball in the right spot and send it to the right space on the opponents side came almost natural to him. He was constantly considered to be the ace of the team he was on and he also found that being on a team was helping him to deal with larger crowds of people. So for Joseph, being on a Volleyball team was the best thing in the world since he not only found it fun, but also found it helpful to him too. He only wished his father had also approved of it, but no, the man only thought about his son doing something more ‘manly’ like football. One of these days, Joseph may just snap at his father and tell him to butt out of his life, but that day probably, and hopefully, won’t be coming soon.
